If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of days let me fill you in on the best Springfest Brandeis has seen so far.  Check out the amazing artists coming right to Chapels Field on April 29.

Childish Gambino

Donald McKinley Glover is an American actor, writer, comedian, and musician. Glover first came to attention for his work in the sketch group Derrick Comedy, and is best known for his role as community college student Troy Barnes on the NBC comedy series Community. In 2011, Glover signed to Glassnote Records under the stage name Childish Gambino; his first studio album, Camp, was released on November 15, 2011.

Fun.  is an American indie pop band based in New York City that was formed by Nate Ruess, formerly of The Format. After the 2008 breakup of The Format, Ruess formed Fun with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff of Anathalloand Steel Train respectively. Fun has released two albums: their debut Aim and Ignite in 2009 and their latest Some Nightsin February, 2012.

Phantogram is an American Indie pop duo from Saratoga Springs, New York, formed in 2007 and consisting of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter . They write and record in a remote barn in upstate New York called Harmony Lodge. The band name was inspired by the optical illusion called phantogram.

They often describe their sound as “street beat, psych pop”. According to Josh Carter, their music has “lots of rhythms, swirling guitars, spacey keyboards, echoes, airy vocals”

We have one extra band coming our way that will be announced at the big day nears!  We are doing it big for Springfest this with not only four amazing bands, but lots of fun activities brought to you by Student Events, WBRS, ad many other campus groups.
